After several snapshots and prerelease, the final version of Minecraft 1.18.2 became available in the launcher. There were few changes in it that were noticeable to the players, but there were interesting opportunities for the creators of custom maps and data packs.
Version 1.18.2 adds a new command: placefeature. With it, players will be able to place various items such as trees, grass, etc. in the given place. Foremost, this feature will be of interest to the creator of data packs and complex maps. Also in Minecraft, there have been such changes:
- 0-based seed is no longer a special case;
- spaces before and after the seed will now be automatically removed when generating;
- improved locate command;
- Ender chests will no longer receive a special texture at Christmas;
- improved tag system: now they can be applied to almost all objects in the game.
Over 100 different bugs have also been fixed.
