Wednesday brings another snapshot with some genuinely useful quality-of-life improvements and the most adorable feature we’ve seen in ages!
Chat Gets Smarter
The biggest practical addition this week is chat drafts – finally! If you’ve ever been mid-sentence when something kills you or a menu pops up, your message will now be saved as a draft. When you open chat again, your unfinished message appears in gray text, ready to be completed.
The system is pretty smart about when to save drafts. It only kicks in when chat gets forcibly closed (like dying or opening a menu), not when you intentionally close it. You can restore the draft by typing, moving the cursor, or just clicking on it. Hit enter to send it as-is, or backspace to delete it entirely.
The Cutest Feature Ever
Here’s the moment that’ll melt your heart: Iron Golems now occasionally plant flowers on Copper Golems. Yes, you read that right. These gentle giants will sometimes walk up to their copper buddies and place a decorative flower on them, like giving a friend a little gift.
You can remove the flower with shears if you want, and it’ll drop when the Copper Golem eventually oxidizes into a statue. It’s such a small detail, but it adds so much personality to these mobs.
The End Gets Dramatic
The End dimension is getting some visual flair with new light flashes. Normally, The End looks the same as always, but now purple skylight occasionally floods the dimension during dramatic flashes. It’s part of the ongoing “Vibrant Visuals” work to make Minecraft’s dimensions more atmospheric.
Small but Sweet
Items on shelves now default to being centered instead of randomly positioned – a tiny change that makes your displays look much cleaner.
Bottom line: This snapshot wraps up the third game drop of 2025 with some genuinely useful features. The chat drafts alone will save countless “wait, what was I saying?” moments, and the golem friendship is just pure wholesome content.
Time to start speculating about that mysterious fourth game drop they mentioned!
