This week’s Minecraft Snapshot brings an exciting experimental feature: the Pale Garden biome, a haunting new environment filled with eerie Pale Oak Trees and Hanging Moss. Players brave enough to explore this mysterious landscape will encounter its sole hostile inhabitant—the Creaking.
Snapshot Highlights:
- Pale Garden Biome: A variant of the Dark Forest, the Pale Garden is distinguished by Pale Oaks and Pale Moss, with ambient sounds enhancing its unsettling atmosphere. Notably, no animals spawn here, making the biome feel even more isolated.
- Creaking Mob: The Creaking, a new hostile mob, spawns at night near a Creaking Heart block found in Pale Oak Trees. While frozen in place when players look directly at it, the Creaking is invulnerable to damage unless its Creaking Heart is destroyed, adding a new layer of strategy and tension to combat.
Additionally, the Pale Garden includes new blocks like Pale Moss, Hanging Moss, and a full woodset from Pale Oaks for crafting purposes. To experience this new biome and mob, enable the “Winter Drop” experiment when creating a new world. Mojang encourages players to provide feedback on both the Pale Garden and Creaking mob to further refine these features.
Happy exploring, and beware of the Creaking!
