Minecraft enthusiasts, get ready for another exciting update! Snapshot 24w07a has been released, featuring the introduction of the Bogged, a new variant of Skeletons, along with some changes to Hoppers that players will want to take note of.
Bogged – Beware the Poisonous Arrows!
Characteristics
The Bogged is a formidable new variant of Skeletons armed with poisonous arrows. These skeletal adversaries have 16 health points, making them faster to defeat compared to their counterparts with 20 health. However, players must be cautious, as Bogged skeletons attack at a slower interval of 3.5 seconds instead of the standard 2 seconds.
Spawning
Naturally, these mossy and mushroom-covered Skeletons can be encountered in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps, adding a new layer of challenge to these biomes. Additionally, players may encounter Bogged spawning from Trial Spawners in select Trial Chambers.
Drops
Defeating a Bogged may yield a reward, as there is a chance for them to drop Arrows of Poison upon being killed by players.
Minecraft players are encouraged to explore these new environments and face the challenge presented by the Bogged, providing valuable feedback to enhance the gaming experience.
Changes to Hoppers
In this snapshot, hoppers have undergone an adjustment. They can now once again pick up items from beehives and bee nests. However, it’s important to note that while this update allows Hoppers to interact with these specific blocks, they still face restrictions when attempting to pick up items from other full blocks.
