Average rating: 0

This week’s snapshot contains no new biomes or mobs. But it has a lot of important technical changes that will be important for both players and creators of maps and data packs. Also in 22w18a, the developers continue to work on improving the balance of previously added mobs.

Key changes in snapshot 22w18a:

  • Allay now follows the player even if he is out of his line of sight;
  • the following stops if the player is 64 blocks away;
  • improved animation of Warden’s ranged attack;
  • Warden and sculk sensors now prioritize nearby vibrations.

The ‘placefeature’ command has also been changed. It has been replaced by the ‘place’ command, which can be combined with entities such as ‘jigsaw’, ‘feature’, and ‘structure’.
