With The Parakeet mod, two new types of parrots will appear in Minecraft: parakeets and cockatiels. You can find and tame them in the jungle biomes. To do this, use beet, wheat or pumpkin seeds. If tamed parrots need to restore health, you can feed them carrots, apples or beetroots. You can give it whole or in slices, which you can get at the crafting table. Also parakeets and cockatiels will sit on your shoulder, fly after you and dance to the music. This version only works with Fabric, but you can also download The Parakeet mod for Forge.
How to install The Parakeet mod
- Make sure you have installed Fabric Mod Loader and Fabric API.
- Download the mod for your version of the game.
- Put it in the ‘mods’ folder, which is located in the game folder.
