The Parakeet is a simple and fun mod that adds two new mobs: parakeet and cockatiel. They will spawn in jungle biomes. You can tame them with wheat, beet or pumpkin seeds. Like ordinary parrots, tamed ones will follow you and dance to the tunes played by the jukeboxes. Also, the mod allows you to cut carrots, apples and beetroots into slices using a crafting table, and feed tamed birds to restore their health. This version is only suitable for Forge, and you can download the Fabric version here.
How to install The Parakeet mod
- Make sure you have installed Minecraft Forge.
- Download the mod for your version of the game.
- Put it in the ‘mods’ folder, which is located in the game folder.
