Rift is a mod loader and an API for modmakers at the same time. At the time of its release, it became the only option for launching Minecraft version 1.13 with mods.
As Forge, this loader creates its own ‘mods’ folder in the game folder. You have to put mods in .jar format into there. The first mods for Minecraft 1.13 work only with Rift.
How to install Rift Mod Loader
- Download the file in .jar format.
- Close the Minecraft launcher if it is running.
- Open the file and wait for the window with a notification of successful installation to appear.
- When starting the game in the launcher, select the modified version 1.13 with Rift.
