If over time you get bored and too easy to play Minecraft on one map, then try installing the Progressive Difficulty mod. With it, the number and strength of hostile mobs will constantly grow. By default, it depends on the time spent in the game, as well as the number of enemies killed and the experience earned. Optionally, you can change the difficulty settings in the progressivedifficulty.cfg file, which can be found in the \.minecraft\config folder.
How to install Progressive Difficulty mod
- Make sure you have installed Minecraft Forge.
- Download the mod for your version of the game.
- Put it in the ‘mods’ folder, which is located in the game folder.
