Obsidian in Minecraft is only used to create portals in Nether, but it can be made more useful. Try Obsidian Armor and Tools mod, which allows you to craft durable and effective items. Using obsidian, it will be possible to craft armor, weapons and all tools, including scissors. They are not inferior to diamond in efficiency. In addition, the armor adds a fire resistance effect. In earlier versions, it was possible to mine obsidian ore and make ingots from it, but starting from 1.14.4 only whole blocks of obsidian are used in craft.
How to install Obsidian Armor and Tools mod
- Make sure you have installed Minecraft Forge.
- Download the mod for your version of the game.
- Put it in the ‘mods’ folder, which is located in the game folder.
