Zan’s Minimap is a mod that adds a convenient and functional minimap to Minecraft. It greatly facilitates navigation and allows you to quickly find the right places.
When you install the mod in the upper right corner, a round minimap automatically appears. Its location, shape and size, if desired, can be changed in the settings (English letter M on the keyboard). The map shows not only the terrain, but also mobs (both neutral and hostile). Zooming occurs when you press Z. The map works fine in an online game, and also correctly displays the terrain in various dimensions, including those that are added using mods.
For newer versions of Minecraft, the Voxel Map mod is used. It was created by the same developers and differs only in name.
How to install Zan’s Minimap mod
- Make sure you have installed Minecraft Forge.
- Download the mod for your version of the game.
- Put it in the ‘mods’ folder, which is located in the game folder.
