The team at Mojang has just released Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.3, arriving sooner than expected after the recent 1.21.2 update. This quick follow-up version addresses urgent issues that emerged with Realms and some of Minecraft’s beloved aquatic life, making it essential for players using Realms or those encountering issues with fish models.
One of the major fixes in 1.21.3 resolves an error affecting Realms with enabled Resource Packs (MC-277791). Previously, attempting to join a Realm with a Resource Pack resulted in connection issues, hindering smooth multiplayer experiences. This release ensures players can once again use Resource Packs seamlessly in Realms.
Additionally, players noticed that Salmon had an unexpected shrinking problem. Fish that previously appeared normal-sized in version 1.21.1 or earlier were downsized upon upgrading to 1.21.2, resulting in all salmon spawning in small sizes (MC-277779). In 1.21.3, these Salmon have been restored to medium size, improving aquatic gameplay visuals and ecosystem dynamics.
This update follows closely after the Bundles of Bravery Drop, and while it’s mainly focused on hotfixes, players are encouraged to check out the changelog for additional information on previous updates.
